NOD32 by Eset is a lightweight, feature packed Anti-Virus application that has low impact on your computer resources. It has the highest performance and detection rate than any other Anti-Virus software on the market today with 2% to 5% more performance, and a detection rate of 85%, as tested by VirusBulletin. NOD32 has advanced and reliable detection of Polymorphic and Metamorphic Viruses, Worms, Trojans and Malware, and consists of AMON, IMON, EMON and DMON.

AMON: A memory-resident scanner which means it scans files before they are accessed.

IMON: An internet monitor which scans internet browsing and email, and detects malicious code before it has time to access your hard drive.

EMON: An email monitor which scans your incoming / outgoing emails as they are sent / received.

DMON: Scans Microsoft Office documents, and areas of Internet Explorer.

NOD32 not only covers Anti-Virus for Workstations, but also for File and Mail Servers. It is an extremely versatile, easy to use Anti-Virus application.

I have been using NOD32 for over a year, and have noticed how well the performance and detection is. Users do not even notice it is running as it uses such a small amount of RAM. It has a ‘set and forget’ option for signature updates, which automatically downloads the latest signatures, making sure your NOD32 application is always up-to-date.

For a low resource, high performance Anti-Virus application I highly recommend trying or purchasing NOD32 Anti-Virus by ESET as it is a great product.

You can download the free 30 day trial from the ESET website here and if you like the software, you can purchase NOD32 for AU$64.50 / year or AU$96.75 for 2 years from their website, ESET.

I hope you have enjoyed my review. Give NOD32 a try, you won’t regret it.
